Contest Rules and Entry Form

ELIGIBILITY
Entrant must be 21 years of
age with valid government issued license or identification card. Each household may enter up to three
different entries in the 2011 contest.
All contestants must be non-professional brewers and must not have used
any commercial brewery facilities when making their beer. No Micro Breweries, On-Premise U-Vint,
or Commercial Beers will be accepted.
JUDGING
A panel of judges will evaluate
each entry on its own merits and can receive a maximum score of 50 points. Weighting for the various components
are as follows:
Aroma 12
points
Appearance 3
points
Flavor 20
points
Mouthfeel 5
points
Overall
Impression 10
points
50
points
Medals will be awarded
within three general categories: (1) Ale, (2) Lager, (3) Other. Medals will also be awarded for Best Label and Presentation.
An entry fee of $5 per entry
will be due when registering.
Entries will be accepted between August 20th and September 10th. To enter, bring the completed entry
form, one bottle of each beer to be entered and the entry fee to

Each bottle entered must
contain 10 to 14 ounces and must be labeled with the following information:

will not be returned after the competition.
AWARDS
Winners will be announced on
Hamburg Oktoberfest in Memorial Park on September 17th. They will also be posted on our Facebook page and website.
